During our testing during our testing, we discovered that the iRobot S9+ cleans thoroughly and efficiently on a variety of flooring surfaces, ranging from hard to medium-pile carpets and rug. We were impressed by the feature that the S9 automatically returns to its base to empty its trash bin when it's empty, which dramatically minimizes the need to be hands-on with maintenance. The dust bin is expected to last for about 30 loads, which is about one month or so, and you'll have to replace the filter once in a while (which is actually recommended by iRobot). The iRobot S9+ is not very noisy when it operates, making it a good option for families with children or pets.
Eufy RoboVac Hybrid X8

They're a great solution for busy families, and they're becoming more affordable than ever. But if you want top-tech features for your robotic vacuum cleaner, you'll have to spend a bit more.
The Eufy RoboVac X8 Hybrid is an all-in-one vacuum and mopping machine which makes it a great choice for those who live in a house with multiple floors. The vacuum's 0.6l bin can hold a lot of pet hair. Dual motors give powerful cleaning power. The dust bin is easy to remove and empty which is great as you'll be required to do this regularly.
It's also simple to set it up, but I would recommend fully charging the X8 Hybrid prior to running it for the very first time. Install the Eufy Home application and follow the instructions to connect it to your WiFi network. The app will then help you to create an outline of your home. It can identify the rooms, divide large spaces into sub-rooms to facilitate open-plan living, and help direct the X8 Hybrid towards specific areas in need of cleaning at a certain time. Many other robots offer similar mapping and scanning functions, but Eufy's application feels more refined and intuitive than the other.
The X8 Hybrid has a great feature: you can turn on the vacuum cleaner or mop by voice thanks to the integration with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. This is a nice feature that makes the robot more hands-free. And it is working well in our test house.
As with many robotic vacuums the X8 Hybrid has some issues with bare floors. It may miss pet hair and small objects, and it is prone to bump into objects - like its own charger at the base for charging. It's also not as quiet as other models we've tried, and the whirring sounds can be distracting.
Roborock V3S Pro
This robot isn't as feature-rich as some of the more expensive models we evaluated but it does come with the basics. It has a large enough dust bin to hold plenty of dirt until it's time to empty it and its vacuum and best robot floor cleaner mop system is great for carpets with low pile and hard floors. It is also very quiet. We could watch TV while it cleaned without feeling like we were being overwhelmed by the sound.
Our testers were impressed by how simple it was to set up and use, and they were amazed by its ability to get all the messes off their floors. It even did a pretty good job at removing pet hair and messes on carpeting, but it wasn't as successful in removing stubborn staining. The app was simple to use and intuitive. They were able schedule the vacuum to clean on a regular basis to minimize the amount of manual work. The one downside is that it doesn't have any mapping technology or object avoidance, which means you can't send it to specific rooms or follow virtual boundaries (though magnetic boundary strips can be used).
The V3S Pro is another model from the iRobot's budget line. It offers many impressive features at a reasonable price. It was the most efficient robot vacuum in our tests for mapping and avoiding obstacles. It's also the best budget choice for those looking for a smarter, self-emptying robotic vacuum that is able to handle pet messes and hair on hardwood floors and carpets with a low pile. It's also very quiet and has a large dust bin that holds a lot of debris before it needs emptying, so you don't have to worry about regularly emptying it.
Although the V3S Pro didn't earn a spot in any of our top choices compilations from trusted sources that perform tests with hands-on, it received high marks from reviewers from Modern Castle, Smart Robot Reviews and The Ambient. They appreciated the ease of install and use, but they also noted that the battery life was limited and it wasn't able to avoid some of the toughest mess we've put it through.

Roborock took its time in designing this smart cleaner. The product is extremely well-built, and it feels like high-end materials were used to create it. Its base is solid and robust, with a charging port integrated for the battery. On top, you'll find the dock for the clean water tank as well as water bins that are dirty. Under them, you'll discover an area that houses the vacuum bag that is sealed.
After you've paired your device to the app, you'll see the map in 3D or 2D of your home, which shows the exact location where your robot is in and the area it's cleaning. You can also set up virtual barriers to ensure that the robot isn't in certain areas and ensure it's only cleaning certain types of floors.
